Start by submitting the Porch Fest Band Sign Up Form! Once we receive your submission, we’ll be in touch with next steps if we think you’ll be a good fit for the event. Last year, we began confirming with bands in March.
All of it! Bands are responsible for bringing ALL the equipment they need to perform, including instruments, amps, microphones, and any other gear required for their set.
Each host will provide electricity; however, keep in mind that some houses may have older electrical systems with limited capacity. We recommend bringing some extra extension cords and power strips to ensure flexibility in setup.
Absolutley! We are grateful that you’re willing to donate your time to support a great cause and the Moorestown community. In turn, we'll be encouraging the community to support you. Feel free to bring tip jars or merchandise for sale.
We're still working on finalizing all the details for this year, but here’s our tentative schedule (as of 2/22/25).
2/15 - Band & Host Sign-Ups Open
3/15 - Start Social Media Announcements
4/15 - Close/Deadline for Band Sign-Ups
4/25 - Finalize Locations
5/1 - Introductions to Hosts
5/17 - Porch Fest 2025
If you haven't signed-up as a band yet, you can Subscribe to Texts to be kept in the loop with any changes.
To accommodate every act, we will be capping each performance at 45 minutes. Please adhere closely to your allotted times. This will prevent any overlap between performances and ensure that each group has enough time for setup and breakdown.
Rain or shine, Moorestown Porch Fest continues! Bands should be prepared to play outdoors, but if severe weather is expected, we’ll be working with local authorities to make any necessary day-of decisions. Upon signing up for Porch Fest as a band, you’ll be added to our mass SMS list, ensuring you stay in the loop with any updates or changes leading up to and on the day of the event.
Porch Fest is for everyone! Invite your fans, friends, family, coworkers—anyone who loves live music and a great community vibe. The more, the merrier! Porch Fest is all about bringing people together, so as a performer, you’ll have the chance to connect with new audiences, meet fellow musicians, and be part of an incredible, welcoming atmosphere
We carefully select hosts to ensure the best experience for musicians, attendees, and the overall flow of Porch Fest. Factors like location walkability, spacing between hosts, and safety all play a role in our decisions. While we’d love to include as many porches as possible, we have to be strategic in our selections to keep the event organized and enjoyable.
We’d love to have you perform! You’re welcome to sign up as both a Porch Host and a Musician, but since we’re hand-picking locations to keep Porch Fest walkable and well-organized, we may not select your home as a performance spot. If that happens, don’t worry—we'll still be able to place you at another awesome porch in town!
Currently, yes. Let us know in the sign-up form. If you personally know a host, we’ll do our best to place you there if their porch is selected. However, not all hosts are accepted—see our criteria for how locations are chosen. While we try to accommodate requests, our main priority is keeping the event walkable, safe, and well-organized.
Porch Fest is a free, community-driven event, so bands will not receive direct compensation. You’re more than welcome to accept tips, sell merchandise, and promote your music or upcoming shows while performing. Many bands find Porch Fest to be a great opportunity for exposure, networking, and growing their fan base.
We’re incredibly grateful for the time and talent you’re donating to support a great cause and the community. In return, we’ll be actively encouraging the community to support you!
Nope! If confirmed, we’ll match your band with a location. If you know someone that lives in Moorestown (a Host) that would like to be part of Porch Fest, share our website with them and encourage them to sign up!
Yes! This worked well last year, but we recommend coordinating directly with your host to arrange a drop-off time. Each location is different, so be sure to check in with them ahead of the event to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Last year, parking wasn’t a major issue, but it will depend on where you’re performing. Some locations may have restricted parking for safety reasons, especially those closer to Main Street. Your host will be able to advise you on the best spots to park, or you can reach out to our team a few days before Porch Fest for guidance.
Once matched with a host, we’ll introduce you! You’ll receive your host’s contact information, and they’ll receive yours as well. The exact timeline for this is still being finalized, but last year, introductions were made about 1-2 weeks before Porch Fest.
We get it, things happen. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust the schedule accordingly. The earlier we know, the better chance we have of filling your spot. If it's last minute, please also reach out to your host directly so they’re aware.
